The top ten list currently in the Dec/Jan issue of the magazine continues.

#7 Mazda MX-5
The Mazda Miata has always been one of our favorites. It adheres rigidly to the immutable law of roadsterness: Thou shalt not worship horsepower over lightness of weight. It is quick, but more than that, it's sprightly, nimble, stylish, and affordable. This is why we don't care that those with hairy knuckles dismiss it as a chick car. And in making the new MX-5 (the car has lost its Miata badge but Mazda's website still calls it the MX-5 Miata), Mazda didn't simply widen the body and update the look; it started over, changing every single mechanical piece. Oddly enough, this complete remake only confirmed the rightness of the original Miata, as the redone car still has the first one's essence.

When Mazda's designers talk about the unity of horse and rider, they're not just whistling "Sukiyaki." Everything about this car—steering, handling, braking—is so smooth, so responsive, so feng shui'd (yeah we know, that's Chinese, so sue us), that driving it hard and fast becomes compulsory.

#8. Honda Civic Si
#9. Range Rover Sport
#10. Dodge Ram SRT-10 Quad-Cab
